The giant fireplace installation was conceived as a spatial continuation of the short film Sauna (2024). The monotony of new development here grows into a frightening altar of the housing crisis. Cheap white laminated boards point to the emptiness of the Scandinavian minimalist trend and to the different reality of interiors compared to the visualizations with which developers attract their customers. The centrally placed television highlights an empty lifestyle bound to a mortgage, in which the ideal of comfort turns into a long-term sense of unease.
