Our Yard explored the courtyard as a specific type of urban space and as a microcosm shaped by its architecture, objects, rules, movements, relationships, and inhabitants. Participants investigated the hidden spaces of inner courtyards across Prague, observing how they are used and imagining alternative ways they could function.
Through storytelling, costumes, and scenography, participants developed new narratives rooted in the spaces themselves. The workshop used imagination as a tool for exploring the built environment, encouraging participants to look closely at their surroundings and to see themselves as active participants with the right to shape and transform the shared spaces they inhabit.
