Suomi Hloubetin is a residential project by a Finnish developer on Prague’s transforming periphery. Its marketing campaign draws on a notion of “Finnish style” — minimalist, ecological, and universally tasteful. The aesthetic is exotic enough to operate where the myth of the West has failed, yet familiar enough to inspire trust. The Nordic thriller Sauna humorously appropriates this visual language, revealing the political potential of visualizations in contemporary architecture.
